Who We Are

Impact Family Counseling

We are a Christian affiliated, nonprofit counseling center and United Way of Central Alabama agency. We were founded in 1991 with the aim to provide low cost professional counseling services to the Birmingham community. We are a member agency of the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers. We are a 501 C 3 organization designed to protect children and strengthen families. We are available to all people of all faiths, regardless of race, age, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.

Anger Control Training

IMPACT Provides Adult Anger Control Training classes.

Cribs for Kids

IMPACT provides Safe Sleep Education program with free crib distributions for new moms.

Family Reunification & Co-Parenting Program

IMPACT provides a Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchanges program for non-custodial parents.

Outpatient Counseling

IMPACT provides Outpatient Counseling and telehealth support for Individuals, Families and Children.

PROVE

IMPACT provides a Prove program that trains adults in parenting, vocational education and placement, and life general life skills.

Successful Schools

IMPACT provides School Counselors and School Support Staff for school systems and a Day Treatment School for children with special needs.
